Just another Christian school?

This post might be slightly offensive, so hear me out to hear my heart.

We didn't want to create a typical Christian school. The type where everyone has to conform, every parent has to fill out an agreement form saying that they agree with the doctrine of the school and that students don't explore the world around them because they are too busy boxed in to one train of thought.

I personally believe that Jesus is my savior, my personal relationship with him is what gives me peace, it keeps me going when I am juggling 6 children, 2 jobs, a school being built and being in school for my MBA in school administration. I walk in confidence because this relationship isn't legalistic, it's real.

Let me put it this way...

My favorite steak in the area is from Centro... Seriously the Steak Centro is the most delicious steak I have ever tried, I don't even want to order steak other places because I end up disappointed and yet sometimes I still try just to see how it compares... I love the steak, but if you don't love the steak and want to order a pasta it's not my job to convince you the steak is better than your pasta, it's my job to order what I love, enjoy it and feel confident in my decision.

Religious beliefs is the same as the steak and pasta example. If you are a Christian this might be where you are offended... Hear me out.

Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and share the good news of the Gospel, share - not convert... Share - not force... Share - not judge. If our joy isn't contageous then why would anyone want to be a Christian anyways?

At The Conservatory we will share about Jesus, we will also explore the history and culture of other religions because exploration is the foundation of Montessori. We are not threatened by the thought of children being exposed to the world around them, in fact it's important to us that they are.

The Conservatory is open to everyone, from every belief... If you are a pasta lover, just know this steak lover is excited to live life with you and love on your kids without abandon.
